Counting Election Ballots

2013  Posted by Lori S. on CHORE

Sounds to me like Renaissance should call Trestle management to learn how to conduct an election. Trestle receives all the secret ballots in the mail and does not open them until a quorum is attained at the annual meeting. However, they do provide the board with a homeowner list prior to the meeting, indicating who is eligible to vote as well as denoting which homeowners have already mailed in their ballot. Again, the all ballots remain unopened. As a board, we know who has sent in their ballot and who is eligible to vote—but we have no clue who they voted for. And we will never know who they voted for. This is the way it should be done.
